University College (Dean Yoo Hong-Jun) held 2019 freshmen orientation for 3 days from Feb. 13th to 15th at each campus of Sungkyunkwan University, with about 2,000 freshmen and their parents.
The orientation had programs such as how to map out one’s career path from SKKU Career Development Center, celebrations from Kingo Cheerleaders, introduction to academic system from each Sungkyun Mentor and community building for each LC(Learning Community) with FG(Freshman Guide).
Sungkyun Mentor Jeon Jong-Hee, the presenter of Social Sciences College orientaion, celebrated all the freshmen with their entrance to SKKU and wished them meaningful university lives with Sungkyun Mentors, FGs and LC friends.
Lee Chan-Hee(Global Business Administration 15, passed Public Administration Examinations) gave freshmen some advice to freshmen as a senior student, said “You need to map out your future by yourselves before you start university lives.”
Song Seong-Jin, Executive Vice President of Natural Sciences Campus, celebrated freshmen of Engineering and wished Sungkyunkwan freshmen access to success.
Lee Jeong-Min(English Literature 17, Head of Kingo Cheerleaders) said “All the freshmen actively participated in the program we prepared, though they might have felt little bit awkward. I feel really thankful to them and proud of all the freshmen of SKKU.”
The University College provides video clips of introduction to academic system and e-brochures for freshmen on its homepage, helping out freshmen with their registration for courses and overall university lives.
The Entrance Celebration will be at Suseong Hall in Natural Sciences Campus on February 27th, 11AM.
